DP World's Jebel Ali Port Wins Port of Year 2025 Award

DP World's Jebel Ali Port has won the Port of Year 2025 Award at the TLME Achievement Awards 2025 which were held at the Millennium Lakeview Hotel in Dubai Investments Park, Dubai with well-known Dubai TV personality Katie Jensen emceeing on the evening.

Jebel Ali Port is DP World’s flagship facility and the region’s largest and most advanced trade gateway, seamlessly integrated with the Jebel Ali Free Zone. In 2024, it handled 15.5 million TEUs (the highest since 2015) and 5.4 million metric tonnes of breakbulk cargo.

Jebel Ali Port has an annual container capacity of 19.4 million TEUs across four terminals, over 100 berths, and a 25-kilometre quay length. It also features dedicated terminals for breakbulk, Ro-Ro, and heavy-lift cargo.

Beyond container traffic, Jebel Ali Port experienced a 23% year-on-year increase in breakbulk cargo, reaching 5.4 million metric tonnes - the second-highest in nearly a decade.

The port also played a pivotal role in humanitarian efforts, facilitating 45,000 metric tonnes of wheat flour shipments to regions in need.

Embracing sustainability, Jebel Ali introduced the Living Seawalls initiative, installing marine-friendly panels to promote biodiversity along its quay walls.

With its blend of operational excellence, technological innovation, and environmental stewardship, Jebel Ali Port exemplifies the qualities deserving of the Port of the Year accolade.
