Dubai Hit by Warehouse Blaze, Controlled in Record Time

Firefighters on scene in two minutes flat

A large blaze that hit two warehouses stocking building materials and dyes in Al Quoz Industrial Area has been subdued and controlled “in record time”, according to Khaleej Times.

According to reports, local firefighters were on the scene in only two minutes and put out the fire.

No casualties have been announced.

Dubai has prided itself in recent years for being one of the world’s most advanced logistical nations on earth, so the quick actions of fire crews go some way in maintaining that image.

The Emirate also recently announced that it wants firms to take advantage of a new decree that stipulates companies operating in Dubai are free from fines and licence renewal costs.

The decree was issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in a move that “reflects the vision of Dubai’s leadership to further enhance the competitiveness of the Emirate.”
