Deal Signed for Saudi Logistics City in Djibouti Port Free Zone

An alliance of Saudi investors in Djibouti have signed a contract for the Saudi Logistics City in the free zone at Djibouti Port.

The city covers an area of 120,000 square meters in the first phase, with the contract extending for 92 years. It includes a permanent exhibition, a platform for Saudi industries, and a trade exchange area featuring various facilities and warehouses.

This project results from a mutual desire and concerted efforts by the delegation of the Federation of Saudi Chambers to Djibouti, headed by Chairman of the Federation Hassan Moejeb Al-Hwaizy.

The delegation comprised over 100 businesspeople and representatives of several government agencies and entities.

The logistics city will enable Saudi products and exports to reach all African countries through Djibouti Port, which serves as a gateway to Africa and an important hub for economic and commercial exchanges both in Africa and globally.

The delegation's visit included holding the Saudi-Djibouti Business Forum, attended by more than 300 ministers, officials, and business owners. The forum reviewed investment and economic opportunities in the Djibouti free zone, along with the advantages and facilities offered to investors.

Relevant authorities in Djibouti pledged that Saudi investors and companies would be granted the same facilities and benefits as Djibouti counterparts, highlighting available opportunities in renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, and technology sectors.
