The Air Cargo Industry Needs to Have a Revolution: Mazen Al Homsi

Carriers need to move beyond traditional practices by adopting new technologies and methods to achieve future success

According to Mazen Al Homsi of consultancy firm Digital Logistics, after doing very well during the years of the pandemic, the air cargo industry was returning to normal today but it must learn to move beyond traditional practices and adopt new technologies and methods to achieve future success.

Al Homsi was speaking at TLME's Future of Logistics Conference Part 3 held recently in Dubai and moderated by industry thought-leader Lars Jensen.

Al Homsi added that today there was a lot of air cargo capacity available and air frieght rates have come down sharply which was good for customers but not the best situation of carriers.

Today there was a need for carriers to upgrade their business models, think out of the box and move beyond to achieve faster and more cost efficient operations.
