National Air Cargo Wins Hero of the Pandemic - Humanitarian Relief
National Air Cargo has won the Hero of the Pandemic (Humanitarian Relief) Award at the recently held TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 hosted by TV news presenter Katie Jensen with celebrity and 2x World Champion Boxer, Amir Khan presenting the Special Recognition Awards.
Transport and logistics companies and their personnel have not only been heroically carrying out their duties and operations in the most challenging health and safety environments, but many have gone a step further in reaching out to other front-line workers and the community at large to offer help, support and encouragement in these testing times.
National Air Cargo has been one such company that has not only played a critical role in air cargo transport and logistics during the crisis but has also taken a number of initiatives that have helped, recognised and rewarded a number of health, safety and other frontline workers for their support and sacrifices in the last year.
It is in recognition of these efforts that National Air Cargo garnered the most votes for this special award making them the winners of the Hero of the Pandemic (Humanitarian Relief) Award.
Mr White states: "We were involved in the ebola crisis. We've helped with the earthquake in the Philippines, we've been in Africa and Nepal also. So we are very well known for a quick reaction to such forces of nature.
"During the pandemic we were extremely busy. We even brought new aircraft into our fleet as we were moving PPE and other humanitarian materials to those most in need."
In terms of their infrastructure National Air Cargo were very well adapted. With learnings from past experiences, the company has moulded its operations to be ready for "whatever hits us next."
Another strong advantage that National Air Cargo has is that they operate their own aircraft thus they have been in a very strong position to support logistics at a moments notice across the world.
On his experience at the Heroes of the Pandemic Awards ceremony, Mr White said: "It's great to be back amongst friends, industry colleagues and meet everybody after such a long time."
