Dubai Provides the Best Ecosystem for Business Success: Hamdi Osman

In conversation with CEO and Founder of SolitAir, Hamdi Osman, TLME Chairman Joe Beydoun asked Mr Hamdi about his experience of coming to Dubai from the US working for FedEx here and eventually setting up his own air cargo hub at Dubai World Central.

The 1985 announcement made by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed that “Dubai was open for business” left a deep impression on Mr Osman’s mind at the time.

The encouragement from the Dubai Government and its open skies policy have enabled business leaders like Mr Osman and companies like SolitAir to establish themselves and thrive in a highly competitive global market. “You cannot find a better place to do business than Dubai.”

In 1993 Mr Osman had the foresight that if a route could be “perfected” between Dubai and Turkey using a clever combination of air and sea modes, Dubai would open up to the world.

That dream has been realised today with Dubai being a central nerve centre of global trade and SolitAir playing a crucial role in taking the dream further with its one-of-a-kind express aircargo services.
