SolitAir: Successfully Meeting Demands of the Digital Economy

CEO & Founder of SolitAir talks about the rapidly changing technology landscape in air cargo logistics

Speaking on the subject of meeting customer expectations during their Q&A, TLME Chairman Joe Beydoun asked CEO & Founder of SolitAir, Hamdi Osman, what the air cargo industry was doing to meet the demands from customers in the new economy.

On this, Mr Osman referred to the definition of insanity i.e. doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result each time. The air cargo industry has not been able to change since the 1950s due to this mindset. However, thanks to new technologies today airfreight operations are achieving new records in speed, efficiency and cost savings.

During Mr Osman’s time at FedEx the company had begun air cargo operations. At the time the established players did not give them a chance but soon FedEx emerged as one of the largest airfreight carriers in the world.

The reason for their success was the clever use of latest technologies. Similarly, today, SolitAir is also using cutting technology tools and platforms to achieve unprecedented levels of speed, efficiency and reliability for its daily scheduled express air cargo services.
