The rapid development of Jebel Ali Port & Freezone and Dubai World Central airport has provided vital sea-to-air and air-to-sea connectivity for cargo moving through Dubai. TLME Chairman Joe Beydoun asks CEO & Founder of SolitAir, Hamdi Osman how that advantage has shaped his vision for the future of his company.
The logistics industry has only “three modes of transport: ground, sea and air”, said Mr Osman and anywhere in the world, if you want to quickly move cargo, air is the only option so far. 70 million tonnes of air cargo was moved across the world in 2023. Today, that volume is only growing and there are capacity shortages in many pockets across the Middle East, India and Africa, especially for express air cargo.
SolitAir has successfully met this need for capacity with daily, express and on time, air cargo services that meet customer expectations every time. “Instant” e-commerce deliveries have radically changed the landscape of customer expectations from logistics services.
“It’s no longer about customer experience, it about customer expectations”, said Mr Osman.
