Knauf Middle East Wins Manufacturer of the Year Award

Knauf Middle East has won the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year Award at the TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 hosted by TV news presenter Katie Jensen with celebrity and 2x World Champion Boxer, Amir Khan presenting the Special Recognition Awards.

This award recognises outstanding efforts that have been 'Made in UAE' to ensure manufacturing continues to keep the country running even through the most challenging times.

In the above exclusive red carpet video Managing Director of Knauf Middle East, Amer Bin Ahmed says the real heroes were the members of his team, especially members of Knauf's key leadership team.

Mr Amer said: "I would like to thank my whole team especially my key leadership team, my managers, my HR and safety teams. And also, the leadership of the UAE, which is extremely important. Without the leadership of the UAE this event would not have happened."

Mr Amer goes on to say that the pandemic has provided an important learning curve for everybody in the industry.

Talking about Knauf's core values, Mr Amer said: "I think humility goes a long way and people are at the forefront of everything you do. In German we say 'Menschlichkeit', which means being humane. Thats our core value for doing business and caring for our employees, vendors, suppliers and the broader markets where we operate."

According to Mr Amer, some of the key learnings from the pandemic are always working as a team and facing the challenges together and evolving, growing stronger with time and new technologies.

Finally, Mr Amer thanks TLME for organising the awards: "It helps us to feel humane and we need to remain humane going forward."
