Hatta Border Crossing Ready for Eid Passenger Traffic  

Dubai Customs make special preperations for hassle-free transit

Dubai Customs inspection officers go above and beyond to make visitors of Dubai as happy as possible and their trip easy and hassle-free, especially during holidays with more passenger traffic is expected.

The Hatta border crossing is a strategic point for passengers and tourists from the Gulf states and land transport. It facilitates trade and passenger movement between Dubai and Oman, with around 2 million passengers crossing the border annually.

During holidays and special occasions like Eid Al Adha, Hatta Customs Center prepares well to receive passengers coming to Dubai to enjoy the interesting events and entertainment activities the emirate offers.

Talking about the procedures the Land Customs Management at Dubai Customs took to facilitate trade and passenger traffic during the Eid holiday.

Hamad Kajour, Director of Hatta Border Crossing said: “We are committed to provide the best customs services in fulfilment of Dubai Customs vision of supporting legitimate trade and promoting Dubai as a world class touristic and business hub.

“We are expecting between 8,000 and 10,000 passengers crossing the border daily during the holy occasion.

“For this we have dedicated 4 lanes to deal with the passenger traffic at rush hours, with more officers on duty who will help passengers and welcome them with a smile and Eid sweets.”
