Watch: Mariam Almheiri Reviews Sustainable Operations at DP World's BoxBay

H.E Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change & Environment (MOCCAE) , and her team, toured Jebel Ali Terminal 4, to witness DP World UAE’s innovative automated operations at Boxbay, alongside Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO & Managing Director, DP World GCC.

The delegation explored Building 4 at Jebel Ali Port, where they were shown the smart and eco-friendly BoxBay container storage system which runs on electricity while also harnessing solar power from the photovoltaic panels on its surface.

Ms. Maha Al Qattan, Group chef sustainability officer - DP World, also shared with the delegation the group's plan to significantly reduce carbon emissions from its worldwide operations.

The delegation was also visited the AlKhaleej Sugar Refinery at Jebel Ali Port, which is considered the world's largest sugar refining facility.
