IT SEC: Creating Secure Distributed Networks for the New Workplace

Founder and CEO of IT SEC Amir Kolahzadeh says the challenge facing most companies during the pandemic is the ability to quickly adapt and change their business models according to the changing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and yet, emerge more resilient than before.

For IT SEC, a company specialising in cybersecurity, the challenge was moving from a centralised security model to a decentralised model as workspaces moved from a single office to multiple locations at employees’ homes.

This presented a major challenge in securing a company’s data on the network as workplaces became multi-locational with each location demanding the same level of security as a single office data network.

Furthermore, this security had to be provided almost “overnight” to maintain business continuity.
