Aramex Launches AI-first Global Data Foundation to Power Real-Time Logistics Intelligence

Built on Google Cloud, the new platform unifies global data, enabling predictive insights, faster decision-making and smarter operations across 70+ countries

Dubai-headquartered logistics giant Aramex has formally launched a new AI-first global data foundation designed to transform its worldwide logistics operations with real-time data and analytics.

The initiative places artificial intelligence and predictive insights at the heart of the company’s strategy to modernize its technology estate, foster operational agility, and strengthen its competitive position in an increasingly digital global logistics landscape.

The platform, built on Google Cloud’s Lakehouse architecture, establishes what Aramex describes as a “Single Source of Truth” for data across its global network spanning more than 70 countries.

By consolidating disparate data sources from operational systems, shipment tracking, and partner networks into a unified analytics backbone, Aramex aims to enable faster, smarter decision-making at scale - with data flowing seamlessly from ground operations to executive dashboards.

According to Aramex, the initiative is not simply an infrastructure upgrade but a foundational shift in how the company harnesses data to drive logistics performance.

Built on three strategic pillars of high velocity, agility and insight depth, the platform is designed to empower teams across the organization with real-time operational visibility and predictive analytics. That visibility will support functions as varied as shipment forecasting, fleet routing, exception management, and customer experience optimization.

Françoise Russo, Chief Technology Officer at Aramex, said: "Data is the fuel that powers modern logistics, but its true value lies in how it is harnessed. By building this AI-first Lakehouse architecture, we are not just modernizing our technology; we are enabling our teams to predict, adapt, and deliver faster than ever before.

"This platform is the foundation of our vision to be a technology-driven logistics powerhouse, providing our teams with the tools to navigate disruption with absolute precision."

Ziad Jammal, General Manager for Google Cloud in the UAE, Levant, and North Africa, added: "Aramex is setting a new standard for the global supply chain. We are proud to provide the cloud infrastructure and Agentic AI foundation that empower Aramex to automate complex decisions and turn data into a strategic competitive advantage."

The phased rollout approach reflects awareness of the complexity inherent in migrating legacy systems and maintaining operational continuity across dozens of international markets - each with unique regulatory and data residency requirements.

Driving Logistics into the Real-Time Era

Aramex’s digital roadmap has been accelerating over the past few years as the logistics sector contends with surging e-commerce demand and increasingly sophisticated customer expectations for visibility and speed.

The new global data foundation positions Aramex to deliver real-time end-to-end shipment tracking, dynamic route optimization, and predictive delay alerts powered by machine learning models which are critical capabilities as the industry transitions from traditional batch reporting to continuous operational intelligence.

Unified data will also support better forecasting in peak periods, improved asset utilization across facilities and fleet operations, and tighter integration with customer systems via APIs and digital dashboards. In short, the platform aims to turn data into actionable insight at the moment it’s needed, rather than after the fact.

Other Digital Transformation Initiatives

The AI-first data foundation represents the latest in a series of digitally transformative projects Aramex has undertaken recently.

In 2025, Aramex partnered with Amazon Web Services to migrate key workloads and build a scalable integration layer that supports real-time data exchange, improved delivery orchestration, and automated partner onboarding. This cloud migration initiative earned industry recognition for driving supply chain innovation through unified systems and have helped accelerate same- and next-day delivery capabilities.

In 2024, Aramex announced a strategic partnership with Omniful aimed at strengthening e-commerce enablement and fulfillment services. This collaboration focused on expanding integrated solutions for retailers and online marketplaces, supporting end-to-end fulfillment automation and customer journey analytics.

Automation and Facility Upgrades

Aramex has continued investing in warehouse automation and route optimization technologies across major hubs, improving throughput and reducing handling times as shipment volumes grow. In addition to robotics and smart scanning, these systems tie into broader analytics platforms to optimize operations in real time.

The company also advanced digital pricing and revenue management by partnering with a cloud-based pricing platform to bring real-time market data and analytics into commercial quote systems enabling faster, more competitive pricing decisions.

These initiatives reflect a broader transformation agenda that extends beyond analytics to involve cloud infrastructure, integration, customer experience platforms, and commercial optimization.

Industry Context and Aramex's Future Outlook

The launch of the AI-first data foundation positions Aramex to compete more effectively with global peers that have embraced real-time logistics platforms.

As supply chains become more digitised, companies that can harness data for predictive orchestration rather than reacting to historical patterns are poised to offer superior reliability, speed, and customer transparency.

For Aramex, the success of the platform will ultimately depend on adoption across its global operations and the ability to continually evolve its models and insights with live business data.

But with the foundational architecture now in place, the company has significantly expanded its digital infrastructure and analytical capabilities, a critical step in navigating a future where data, AI, and logistics converge.
