The UAE participated in “World Maritime Day Parallel Event 2018” which was held in Poland, between 13th and 15th June, 2018.
According to WAM, the UAE delegation participated in "World Maritime Day", and event held in Szczecin, Poland, between 13th and 15th June.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Internal Navigation of Poland, in cooperation with the International Maritime Organisation, IMO.
This year’s theme of celebration was, "Our Legacy to Achieve Better Maritime Transportation for Better Shipping."
Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Transport Authority - Land and Maritime led the UAE delegation.
The purpose of the conference is to address the challenges for maritime transport and to strengthen cooperation towards sustainable growth for all.
Dr. Al Nuaimi said that the UAE’s participation in the conference reflects its prominent stature in the maritime transport sector.
