The CMA CGM Group Orders 22 New Vessels
The LNG and VLSFO containerships in line with companies sustainable shipping goals
In brief company statement CMA CGM Group has announced the orders for 22 new vessels.
The shipping and logistics major signed with CSSC Group an order for:
6 LNG-powered containerships with a capacity of 13,000 TEUs
6 LNG-powered containerships with a capacity of 15,000 TEUs
10 VLSFO-powered containerships with a capacity of 5,500 TEUs
The order aims at accommodating anticipated market growth.
The vessels are expected to join the Group’s fleet between 2023 and 2024.
