Mawani's New '5CX' Service Connects Jeddah Islamic Port with 10 Regional and Global Ports
The Saudi Ports Authority “Mawani” has announced that “Sea Lead” has added the new shipping service “5CX” to Jeddah Islamic Port, further enhancing the Kingdom’s maritime connectivity, supporting national exports, and reinforcing the port’s competitive global position.
The new service links Jeddah Islamic Port with 10 key regional and global ports, including Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nansha in China; Damietta in Egypt; Aliaga, Izmit, Istanbul, and Mersin in Turkey; and Port Klang in Malaysia, with a total handling capacity of 1,500 TEUs.
This addition aligns with Mawani’s broader strategy to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s connectivity with global markets, in line with the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS), to solidify the Kingdom’s standing as a global logistics hub bridging the three continents.
Jeddah Islamic Port stands as a leading port on the Red Sea, thanks to its strategic location and its 62 multi-purpose berths. It holds a pivotal role both regionally and globally and plays a key part in advancing the Kingdom’s maritime leadership.
