ONE Unveil New Fuel Efficient Ship

The Aquila released from Japanese dockyard

Ocean Network Express Pte (ONE) has announced that ONE AQUILA with a carrying capacity of 14,000 TEU, has been successfully delivered at Kure Shipyard of Japan Marine United Corporation.

The sublet owner is Nippon Yusen Kaisha.

The vessel, ONE AQUILA, employs a hull form that allows improved cargo-loading efficiency achieved by minimized engine-room space.

Moreover, the vessel applies the dual system in its main engine which is capable to choose two other output ranges (high and low) that allows flexible operation and improved fuel-consumption rate, resulting in a significant reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

The navigation bridge has adopted the Integrated Navigation System (INS) which consolidates functions of vessel systems.

Furthermore, a wide window is also newly employed which allows the vessel operators to have a wider eyesight from the wing of vessel’s bridge when berthing/unberthing for safety improvement.

She will phase in THE Alliance’s Asia to North America (West Coast) PN3 service with its port rotation Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Prince Rupert, Vancouver, Seattle, Pusan, Kwangyang, and Hong Kong.
