DP World could be on the verge of constructing a new port in Serbia, according to SeeNews.

Serbia’s infrastructure ministry and DP World have reportedly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) already with regard to a construction of a ‘river port’.

A study is presently underway to ascertain whether the new port will be based in Novi Sad, Smederevo or Belgrade, the government.

DP World remains one of the busiest terminal operators worldwide and has invested heavily into new terminals, both in the Middle East region and further afield.
