Keeta’s Launches On-Demand Delivery Operations in Bahrain

Launch adds pressure to an already competitive on-demand delivery sector
Published on

On-demand delivery platform Keeta has officially launched operations in Bahrain, expanding its footprint in the Gulf as competition intensifies across the region’s food and last-mile delivery market.

The launch marks Keeta’s entry into one of the Middle East’s smaller but highly digitized markets, where demand for fast and reliable delivery services continues to grow. The platform is backed by Meituan, one of the world’s largest food delivery firms, and leverages its parent company’s logistics and routing technology.

Keeta said its Bahrain service will connect consumers with a wide range of local restaurants as well as regional and international food brands.

The platform uses data-driven systems that factor in traffic conditions, delivery distance and order size to optimize dispatch and estimated delivery times. It also includes service commitments designed to improve transparency, including compensation for delayed orders.

To mark the launch, Keeta is offering introductory promotions such as free delivery and discounted meals at selected partner restaurants. The company said the offers do not require subscriptions or long-term commitments.

Ahead of the rollout, Keeta established a local operational network that includes trained delivery riders, defined service standards and round-the-clock customer support. Merchant partners are provided with onboarding assistance and ongoing operational support aimed at improving order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Keeta’s arrival adds pressure to Bahrain’s competitive delivery sector, which is currently led by established platforms such as Talabat and Deliveroo.

Analysts say increased competition could benefit consumers through faster delivery times and more aggressive pricing, while giving restaurants greater leverage in negotiating commercial terms.

The Bahrain launch follows Keeta’s expansion into other Gulf markets, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, as the company continues its regional growth strategy.
