Hellmann Worldwide Wins Hero of the Pandemic Freight Forwarding Award

Demonstrates outstanding performance and commitment to customers in the most challenging times

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has won the Hero of the Pandemic Freight Forwarding Award at the recently held TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 hosted by TV news presenter Katie Jensen with celebrity and 2x world champion boxer, Amir Khan presenting the Special Recognition Awards.

While the difficulties of the past year have raged on, so have freight forwarders around the world.

There has been no let up for freight forwarding companies, in fact, it’s been the opposite. Higher demand than usual has meant new orders along with the standard orders that also have to be completed on time.

This award has been created to outline the heroes of the pandemic in the ever-vital freight forwarding sector.

The competition for this award was quite crowded with seven nominees vying for the prize. But Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has got the most votes and walks away with the Hero of the Pandemic (Freight Forwarding) Award.

In the past year Hellmann's investments in technology have paid off handsomely with the launch of state-of-the-art cargo tracking tools like SmartAir and the global implementation of CargoWise.

Furthermore, innovative partnerships like the one with Dubai CommerCity to provide customers in the region with end-to-end logistics solutions have clearly had an impact on the voting with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics emerging winners of the prestigious award.

Mr Kurup said: "It is our teams' efforts that have helped provide an uninterrupted supply chain to our customers in various industries particularly the healthcare industry. We have been the market leader in the region using Dubai as a hub for the last 10 years.

"I think our seamless solutions in healthcare have prepared us in dealing with the pandemic. I would give a lot of credit to our healthcare vertical for winning this award."

In the post-pandemic scenario Mr Kurup believes the digitalisation of operations will accelerate further and the B2C business that Hellmann had embarked on pre-pandemic will be a "major game changer going forward."
