Alibaba Unveils its Vision for the Unmanned Logistics Vehicle

MEMS solid-state LiDAR technology enhances performance and saves on costs while its compact size greatly improves stability.

Logistics technology company Cainiao Network, part of Alibaba Group, and LIDAR specialist Robosense have announced a new G Plus driverless delivery vehicle which utilises solid-state LIDAR for the first time to drastically reducing the cost of the driverless vehicles.

The G Plus is equipped with three RS-LiDAR-M1Pres, two in front and one in rear, to ensure the most powerful 3D perception for driving. This allows vehicles to clearly “see” like never before.

The advanced sensors provide a 3D perception of the driving environment.

The vehicles can be mass-produced, allowing rapid expansion of unmanned logistics vehicles and streamlining mass market logistics. (Source: Robosense).
