Crown Fine Art sees benefits of Dubai base
An advanced, highly secure Crown Fine Art storage facility is now open in JAFZA, Dubai’s much sought-after tax-free zone, featuring first-class temperature control and 24-hour surveillance.
The new art base is conveniently located in Jebel Ali Free Zone, a midway point between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Commenting on the new facilities, Gus Van Geijtenbeek, Regional Manager for Crown Fine Art Dubai said: “With the extreme temperatures and humidity experienced in the Middle East, it is vital that client artworks are well protected.
“Our new warehouse facility is furnished with purpose-built racking, a viewing area and open spaces for large sculptures.
“It also offers a first-class temperature-controlled environment with 24-hour guard-surveillance and infra-red CCTV.”
This facility is Crown’s second in the region, and the free zone location means that duty and VAT is deferred on import – saving collectors who buy from auction and then ship to another country 5% VAT.
Consulting regularly on technical matters, Crown Fine Art’s specialists provide expert advice on unusual, complex and challenging logistics projects, including exhibitions, installation, packing, special handling and collection management.
Van Geijtenbeek concluded: “Crown Fine Art has a depth of expertise that cannot be matched – both geographically and technically – and this is reflected in the great variety of collections we have worked with.”
