Abu Dhabi Opens High-Tech Aluminium Facility

Member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan has inaugurated the Taweelah Aluminium Extrusion Company (Talex); a highly automated aluminium extrusion plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD).

As well as its impressive level of automation, it is also the first aluminium extraction plant in KIZAD.

Telex is the product of a US$240 million investment and a joint venture between General Holding Corporation and the Gulf Extrusions under Al Ghurair Group.

Ali Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of Talex, said: “The inauguration of Talex further strengthens the strategic pillars of Abu Dhabi’s focused industrial strategy in line with the economic diversification plan while building a competitive edge for ‘Made-in-UAE’ industrial products.
