Smart Gates Resume Operations at Dubai International Airport

Departures from Terminal 3 can now use smart gates

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) announced the restart of the smart gates at the Dubai International Airport in terminal 3.

Departures will be allow to use the smart gate by scanning their passport only, as part of UAE's precautionary measures against COVID-19, to ensure the highest level of safety for all.

HE Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai said: "The restart of the smart gates helps to facilitate and simplify travel procedures, as the smart gates are considered the safest way to travel in light of the current conditions that the world defeat against the COVID-19."

"This step helps to enhance the passenger's confidence in the emirates of Dubai about this procedures which constitute a safety umbrella for them."

H.E Al Marri also stressed that the GDRFA Dubai continues to provide the best services for passengers though Dubai ports according to precautionary and security measures to ensure the safety of the passengers and GDRFA Dubai employees.
