SAUDIA Achieves Record Performance in 2018 

Significant jump in the international operating numbers

In 2018, Saudi Airlines achieved a new record and performance of its operations on its growing international network and succeeded in achieving a significant jump of more than 11% in the number of international guests compared to the previous year.

SAUDIA continued its strong growth and expansion of international operations by launching new international destinations and increased seat capacity to destinations that are booming in accordance with marketing and operational plans.

In the past year SAUDIA has transported more than 17 million visitors to the international sector out of the total number of 34 million guests.

More than 214,000 domestic and international flights were operated, and the modern Saudi planes, which currently number 154, flew in the skies about 500 thousand flying hours.

The Director-General of the General Organization of Saudi Arabian Airlines Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser expressed his happiness and pride in what Saudi Arabia achieved during the past year by growing operating rates.

New figures reflected the comprehensive growth witnessed by the Corporation and its companies and strategic units in the framework of the transformation program which is currently being coordinated With the National Transition Program.

The operational performance of Saudi Airlines has been continuously growing in line with the objectives of the Strategic Plan SV2020 and the transformation program initiatives launched in mid-2015.

These initiatives include the largest fleet modernization and development program in the history of the Corporation with the aim of increasing it to 200 aircraft by the end of 2020.
