Etihad Cargo Launches ‘FlightValet’

New service to ease the process of moving motor vehicles

Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, announced the launch of ‘FlightValet’, a new product service aimed to ease movement of motor vehicles across the globe.

FlightValet is a service for those who want to transport their luxury vehicles immediately. FlightValet and its dedicated team will oversee the swift, safe and secure delivery of a vehicle to its final destination.

The announcement of the new booking service comes in time for the seasonal demand for luxury vehicle shipments to popular holiday destinations.

Etihad Cargo currently transports hundreds of high-value vehicles annually on its passenger and freighter aircraft, and this new product will further simplify the customers’ booking experience.

Etihad Airways Chef Breaks World Record

Abdulla Mohamed Shadid, Etihad Airways Managing Director Cargo and Logistics, said: “We are delighted to introduce this new tailored product to the marketplace.

“Demand from our customers has grown significantly in recent years, and in an effort to improve our service offering, we have introduced vehicle handling capability at key new stations in 2018.”

FlightValet will also satisfy racing enthusiasts around the world who want to transport their cars to iconic racetracks like Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009.

FlightValet offers car dealers and manufacturers the opportunity and ease of moving vehicles globally with the use of Etihad Airways passenger aircraft, as well as chartered and scheduled freighter aircrafts.

“FlightValet is the latest addition to Etihad Cargo’s suite of high-value products,” added Mr Shadid.

“This is a key part of our strategy to leverage Abu Dhabi’s natural position as a logistics centre for the world, and drive growth in Air Cargo high-value product segments that diversify our portfolio and reinforce our position as the Air Cargo partner of choice.”
