Dept of Health Abu Dhabi Wins Hero of the Pandemic - Best Performer

Dr Omar Najim: 'This award is a testament to the great work everybody in Abu Dhabi and the UAE has done'

This Special Recognition Award presented by A-List Celebrity and 2x World Champion Boxer Amir Khan at the TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 which were hosted by TV news presenter Katie Jensen, highlights companies that have performed exceptionally well during the pandemic by keeping business booming and the region ticking while under huge duress.

The nominees for this award have all shown firm resilience and great strategizing. However, the Department of Health Abu Dhabi proved to be a cut above the rest and walked away with the Hero of the Pandemic - Best Performer Award.

The work done by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi has been nothing short of amazing and received the most votes for this category from people in the health and logistics industries and beyond.

In his acceptance speech Dr Omar Najim, Executive Director Department of Health Abu Dhabi said: "This award is a testament to the great work everybody in Abu Dhabi and the UAE has done.

"Abu Dhabi has shown leadership and resilience. When decisions were the hardest and when times were the toughest, Abu Dhabi's leadership has put the healthcare of its people and the wider world at the top of its priorities.

"The fact that there are about 300 people are here today gathering and celebrating, while other places around the world are still going through a tough time is a testament to the fact that God willing we have succeeded thanks to the efforts of all of you," Dr Najim concluded.
