Emirates, the Official Airline of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, offered tennis fans a once in a lifetime experience to meet their tennis hero and legend, Roger Federer.
The “Emirates ball flight”, a fan favourite, offered tennis enthusiasts the chance to win two final match tickets and to meet the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships eventual champion.
Red Emirates tennis balls were hit into the crowd by Roger Federer, winner of the ATP semifinal match.
The four people who caught the ball were invited onto the centre court and one lucky fan turned the aircraft model with a ‘congratulations’ sticker underneath, winning the chance to experience today’s final match and meet the champion of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Emirates is a staunch supporter of tennis, a sport that is enjoyed by many of its customers around the world.
In addition to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, the airline sponsors over 60 tournaments in 28 countries, including the most high profile events on the ATP and WTA Tours and three of the four Grand Slams – the French Open at Roland Garros, the Australian Open, and the US Open.
