Agility has opened a US$163 million logistics park in Jeddah, expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia at a time when demand for warehousing and distribution space continues to rise across the kingdom.

The new facility is designed to support companies working in retail, e commerce, food, pharmaceuticals, and industrial sectors as Saudi Arabia pushes ahead with supply chain upgrades tied to Vision 2030.

Inaugurated by Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, the 576,760 sqm site with more than 338,000 sqm of built-up area is located near key transport routes that connect Jeddah to the Red Sea ports, airports, and major inland cities.

Agility says the location will help companies cut transport times and streamline import and export operations. The development includes modern warehousing, cold storage, container yards, and build to suit options for businesses that need customized space.

According to Agility, the park will operate on a scale that can serve both local and regional customers. Its facilities are built to international standards, with energy efficient systems, advanced security, and digital tools for inventory management.

Speaking on the occasion, Al Jasser said: "The continuous investments from local and global private-sector players in Saudi Arabia’s logistics and supply chain sector underscore the sector’s attractiveness and growth.

"These projects help create direct and indirect job opportunities, and stimulate economic development. These efforts will strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub and realize the ambitious objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy under Vision 2030."

Saudi Arabia has been working to boost its position as a regional logistics hub. The government has launched programs to expand port capacity, modernize road and rail networks, and encourage private sector participation in freight and warehousing.

With the new park now open, Agility expects strong demand from businesses looking for reliable, well equipped space at a time of tight supply in major Saudi cities.

Industry analysts say the move signals growing confidence in the kingdom’s logistics sector, which continues to attract investment as trade flows rebound and companies rework their supply chains for greater resilience.
