Kuwait in $48 Million Infrastructure Drive

Vast figure to reshape Kuwaiti logistics

Kuwait has awarded contracts worth US$48.5 million for key infrastructure development including the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges besides several key waterways and sewerage projects in the capital, according to a government report.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Hussam Al Roumi for these key projects which will come up on the Fifth Ring Road, Al Ghazali Road and Muhammad bin Qasim Street, reported state news agency Kuna.

The entire work, including the development of Al Ghazali intersection with the Fifth Ring Road via an overpass, will be completed within the next two years, said Al Roumi.

The contract also includes expansion of the sub-route connecting the Airport Road 55 to the Fifth Ring Road in the direction of Jahra besides the expansion and development of an upper bridge connecting the internal road to the Fifth Ring Road.
