Queen Alia International Airport Sees 9%  Passenger Growth in Feb

Aircraft movements see 8.6% increase

Official statistics released by Airport International Group showed that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 593,427 passengers (PAX) during the second month of the year, registering a significant rise of 9.2% compared to 2018.

This also marks the highest February in QAIA history.

Meanwhile, QAIA witnessed 5,521 aircraft movements (ACM) and handled 7,139 tonnes of cargo, recording an 8.6% increase and a 4.7% decrease, respectively.

From the beginning of the year until the end of February 2019, QAIA received 1,247,970 passengers, indicating 6.9% growth in year-to-date (YTD) PAX figures, as opposed to the same period in 2018.

Moreover, YTD ACM totaled at 11,584, marking a notable 7.7% surge, while YTD cargo stood at 14,166 tons, amounting to a 9% drop.
