China Sees Big Gains from Belt and Road 

New report shows China’s international trade is on the rise 

The Chinese National Information Center has released the Belt and Road Big Data Report 2018 which shows that Chinese international trade has increased by 6%.

The report indicates that the level of cooperation between China and the countries along the Belt and Road has been increasing year on year.

The index for 2018 is measured at 47.12.

This figure is 2.01 points and 3.57 points higher than that in 2017 and 2016 respectively.

It is the third consecutive year that the National Information Center has issued an annual report on the Belt and Road progress.

Based on more than 500 billion pieces of information collected by more than ten data sources, the Belt and Road Big Data Report 2018 analyzed six aspects of cooperation between China and 71 countries and regions, and used six indicators to evaluate the cooperation level.

Ning Jizhe, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission and head of the National Bureau of Statistics, said the report can provide extended information for both China and other countries to understand and participate in the Belt and Road construction.

According to the report, Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, South Korea and Vietnam were ranked as the top five partners.
